The governor met with emergency responders and looked around Kirksville. A tornado touched down Wednesday just north of the town. Three poeple died in the storm. Neighbors and friends are remembering tornado victims whose home were torn apart in northeast Missouri. "It come right up here by the house went right on up this ditch and we seen the house explode debris in the air" recounts Stan Morehead who lost a neighbor in the storm. Nixon also extended the state of emergency that he activated during last weeks storms.

Meteorologist Rick Shanklin told the Evansville Courier & Pressthat the tornado with winds reaching 120 mph traveled more than 10miles about 3:30 a. The tornado caused damage at a farm in Haubstadt about 15 milesnorth of Evansville.

WNColumnManager) WNColumnManager. (AP) – Classes have resumed in Anadarko but power outages are still reported in much of the city after an EF-2 tornado hit the city. The twister Wednesday caused widespread roof damage and power remains out at the police department today. City Hall and the Caddo County courthouse both are closed and the sheriff’s department is operating on a generator. Inmates at the county jail have returned after being evacuated because of roof damage. Jailer Nyles Parton says inmates returned Tuesday.
