White said the city of Oviedo installed eight tornado sires in the city which warn people to take cover. Despite the glitch White said the National Weather Service the radios are still vital to have inside homes. “I think overall their track record has been pretty successful” White said. “The weather radios have been a reliable tool and we’re going to continue to endorse that product. I’m sure the National weather Service will resolve the issue. “National Weather Service officials plan to put more checks and balances in place to make sure the problem never happens again.
