Members of the Bundestag lower house approved the mission by 405 to 157 votes. Defence Minister Franz Josef Jung has said the aircraft will be manned by about 500 German soldiers and could be deployed in Afghanistan by mid-April. The Tornados which can supply aerial images of Taliban positions will be stationed at Mazar-i-Sharif in northern Afghanistan. Germany has in recent months come under strong pressure from its Nato allies to increase its military presence in Afghanistan as international forces seek to crush a Taliban insurgency.

For instance in 2006 there were 92 tornadoes in Kansas exceeding the yearly average of 55. “There is a lot of potential for another busy year” Frazee said. For the past two weeks Frazee and other city workers have inspected the city’s 22 tornado sirens in preparation for the storm season.

The approaching tornado lifted the trailer briefly then slammed it back down. Inside the closet Penny screamed. Moments later the trailer flew up again. When she awoke she was in a ditch 300 feet from the trailer.
