They clinched the lympic Tornado class world title off SanIsidro Argentina from a field that included lympic championsRoman Hagara and Hans Peter of Austria. The win tops a stellar year for Bundock and Ashby who haveclaimed six major regattas including the International SailingFederation World Sailing Games since teaming up just over 12months ago. With a worst finish of just sixth across the eight-day worldchampionships they had the championship wrapped up before thefinal race. “We were very consistent and didn’t have any bad races at all”Bundock said during a night of celebrations in San Isidro. “Most of the other teams actually had races where they finishedin the 20s.

Unfortunately for them (and Home Depot) Hurricane Season 2006 was a dud. The hurricane fetishists predicted 17 named tropical storms nine full-blown hurricanes and five really scary hurricanes with winds in excess of 110 mph. Well only nine storms were named only five grew up to be hurricanes and just two made the big time with winds of 110 mph.

Hurricane Electric enhanced its connection to the PAIX exchange from a Gigabit Ethernet port to a 10GB Ethernet port making it one of only a handful of networks that employs a 10GB Ethernet port to the PAIX switch. The upgrade was made as a result of the company experiencing significant traffic growth over the past few months. Collier discusses revamping hurricane evacuation

The first item on the commission’s agenda was a new evacuation plan for the 2007 hurricane season. When the forecast goes out that a hurricane is on the way – time is everything. But according to a new hurricane evacuation study presented to commissioners on Tuesday morning Collier County has room for improvement. “Now we have to find a way to implement them we have to find resources grants opportunities… The first item on the commission’s agenda was a new evacuation plan for the 2007 hurricane season. The results of the study shows that county leaders should add additional travel measures to speed traffic flow like electronically timing signals and expanding the I-75 shoulder so it can be used as an emergency lane. But the biggest concern is human behavior and a person’s desire to stay home during a storm.
